The metatarsal area is nice and snug and I was surprised at how thick the rubber is over the entire boot, it is a soft rubber but when I tried to scuff it and see how durable it was, I found the rubber to self repair and resist the scuffing. Now lets talk about the arch and foot bed of these boots… WOW! they feel like gel inserts or really

One thing I would note is they do run slightly bigger I would recommend to go half a size down from normal size. good shoe
